Kids deserve creative recreational and educational experiences that honor individuality. The Kids Connection program introduces them to new skills for self-esteem, memory recall, communication, and balance, all in Mother Nature's backyard. The very essence of the Ranch compels children to explore, discover, and participate in all of what's happening around them.

Horses and nature have been immensely successful with kids to build skill, confidence, respect and stability (both emotional and physical). Wind Walker has well-trained horses and professional wranglers to provide safety, and our riding lessons are very personalized. After riding lessons children will travel out of the riding arena. They will enjoy several different rides to gain new levels of experience, from short rides to fun afternoon lunch rides.

Children’s interests become hands on; hands in experiences that make history and nature come alive with focus on the natural wonders that surround them.

They participate in nature hikes to find wild edibles while looking closer to nature for unique sticks to make dream catchers. They can craft a medicine bag that is meant only for them. The native teachings of offering something back to nature every time you take anything will become a part of your child’s everyday practice. Children will step into another's shoes with an archeology dig before building a Huck Finn raft to race next to their new-found friends. So many more activities, so little time.

Nights are spent enjoying the company of friends and family and making s’more-smeared fingers. Each week the children program hosts a night of entertainment with skit performances from the kids, a night not to be missed. They are sure to make you laugh so hard you will cry. Each night, attention will be turned to the sky as we learn the different constellations and enjoy fun night games. By the end of the day your child will enjoy a good night's rest to wake for another day of festivities.
