Hiking & Biking

Travel the trails of the Spaniards, Native Americans, and pioneers as they ascended to Sanpete County. Enjoy trips with a gradual incline threw the ancient juniper trees or surround yourself by the beautiful mountain scenery of the Manti-LaSal National Forest.

With guided tours of history past, you explore the legacy left behind from those that came before us.

Experience an ancient temple site used by many cultures of before. Behold rock paintings of the Piute Native Americans as you take in a canyon of mystery. Take a glimpse into ancient ceremonies by giving an offering back to the land, in an area sacred to the natives. See where Butch Cassidy called home before shooting the sheriff in Mt. Pleasant. Wind Walker entices you to explore the many different terrains while discovering the history of the old west.

Utah’s highway to heaven is Skyline Drive, one of the nation’s highest unpaved roads. Adventure-seekers can ditch their vehicle, grab a mountain bike, and tackle the Skyline Trail. Often compared to the famous White Rim Trail in southeastern Utah, the Skyline is cyclist’s haven through rolling gorgeous alpine scenery.

It is not uncommon to find arrow heads left behind, wild edibles, new discoveries, and an unparallel breadth of wildlife, while traveling the trails. If you like nice leisurely hikes/ rides, prefer scaling a 50 foot rock wall, or climbing to 9000 ft elevation in less than an hour, Wind Walker has a trail for all enthusiast.
